“It’s uncanny! How does a seemingly original thought of teaching others to juggle, parsed with passion and possibilities, get discovered in a secondhand bookstore having been written over 20 years earlier. Many of the ideas I was pursuing and contemplating, mostly on my own, had already been written and supported in this book, Lessons from the Art of Juggling by Michael J. Gelb and Tony Buzan. I like to think I had supplemental thoughts and might have nudged and advanced these thoughts a little further, although the basics and premise were already thoroughly covered in this book. This delayed discovery makes me think of the pedagogical saying, “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.”
